Is Khet24 free to use?
Yes! Khet24 is free to use with all essential features. We believe every farmer should have access to modern farm management tools regardless of their budget.
Does Khet24 work offline?
Yes. Khet24 is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that caches data locally. You can view cached prices, manage your batches, and record expenses even without internet. Data syncs automatically when you reconnect.
What languages does Khet24 support?
Khet24 supports English, Hindi, Assamese, and Bengali. You can switch languages anytime from the language selector in the app.
How do I track my poultry batches?
After signing up, you can create a farm and add batches. For each batch, you can record daily mortality, expenses, feed consumption, and sales. Khet24 automatically generates profit and loss reports for each batch.
How are market prices determined?
Market prices on Khet24 are crowdsourced from our community of farmers and traders. Users report prices from their local markets, and we aggregate this data to show live prices by district.
What is the Vet on Call feature?
Vet on Call allows you to request a veterinary consultation directly through the app. You can describe your issue, attach photos, and a registered veterinary doctor will respond to your request.
How do I install Khet24 on my phone?
Khet24 is a Progressive Web App. Visit khet24.com on your phone browser, and you will see an "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" prompt. Tap it to install the app on your phone — no app store needed.
Is my farm data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and secure authentication (powered by Clerk). Your farm data is stored securely in the cloud and is only accessible to you and your authorized farm members.
Can I use Khet24 for layer (egg) farming?
Khet24 is currently optimized for broiler farming. However, many features like expense tracking, profit calculation, and vet consultations can be useful for layer farms as well. Layer-specific features are on our roadmap.
